We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical Officer to join our healthcare team and provide specialized medical care for older adults in both clinical and homecare settings within Nairobi. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults through comprehensive and patient-centered care.

Position: Geriatric Doctor

Location: Nairobi, may include Kiambu and Kajiado counties as well

Work Setting: Clinic and Homecare Services

Employment Type: Part-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care for elderly patients in clinical and homecare environments.

• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions affecting older adults.

• Develop personalized care plans focused on maintaining independence and quality of life.

• Conduct home visits to monitor patient health and provide medical support.

• Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, therapists, and family members to coordinate patient care.

• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment plans.

• Educate patients and families on disease management, medication use, and preventive care.

• Maintain accurate medical records and reports.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) from a recognised institution

• Valid registration and practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

• Additional training or experience in geriatrics, internal medicine, or family medicine is highly desirable.

• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience. Experience working with elderly patients or in homecare settings is an advantage.

• Strong communication, empathy, and patient-centered care skills.

• Must be willing to undergo further internal training to enhance skills for this role.

• Must be willing to learn, a team player and self-driven.
